It’s no easy feat to achieve a superb fit without the use of Lycra, but that was our goal with the NX-G jersey. While Lycra's stretch and return is great for body-hugging contour, higher Lycra content makes for a slower rate of moisture absorption. So the more Lycra in a fabric, the less efficient it is at managing perspiration during exertion.
The strategic omission of Lycra from the composition of our NX-G jersey means that the material is extremely effective in quickly moving sweat away from the surface of the skin. The fabric absorbs and pulls it to the outside of the garment where, thanks to the lightness of the fabric, it evaporates virtually instantly. The benefit is that the rider stays dry and comfortable from climb to descent.
Without Lycra, we achieve the fit of the NX-G jersey with a mechanical stretch that is engineered into the weave of the fabric during production. This technical construction enables the fabric to move with the body in motion for optimum fit, combined with excellent moisture management properties.
